Dragon Ball Z: Raging Blast 2 is the sequel to the first game in the Raging Blast series, released on June 18, 2008. The game was developed by Dimps and published by Atari. It is part of The Legacy of Goku video game series, which began with Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3. The gameplay takes place in a 3-dimensional plane with varying camera angles that focus on first or third person perspectives. Character sprites are represented as colored dots. A Create-a-character feature allows players to choose from different races and genders for their characters, including Super Saiyan forms of Goku, Vegeta, Gogeta (this mode only available in story mode). They can be customized further by choosing their body and clothes. Also, players can modify the appearance of the character's Attack and Blast States. Another new feature is allowing players to use characters who were previously only support characters into playable Super Saiyans for example Raditz, Nappa, Bardock or other characters that were not part of the "Super Saiyan 3" group such as Kid Goku and Mr. Satan (although Kid Goku is still playable in his base form). The game features a "Z Burst" energy blast system. The Z Burst can be used to create combos, heal damage and cancel out enemy attacks. It can also be used to power-up special attacks through a separate meter gauge. When this special meter is full, it can be used to execute "Ultimate Attacks", which are flashy and powerful attacks that form a large explosion. The Z Burst can be intensified by performing different series of consecutive fusions, thus greatly increasing energy attack damage. The game features a "Ki Pulse" combo attack system, which allows long-range linking between characters and has the player pressing the triangle button repeatedly in conjunction with the directional pad to produce huge combos. By filling up a "Ki Fusion" gauge, one character becomes the center point for Ki pulses and performs an Ultimate Attack together with the other chosen characters. The game also features the "Kamehameha" and "Final Flash" energy blasts used by Goku and Vegeta, respectively. The game has RPG elements, where the player levels up characters with each battle won. Each time a character levels up, his strength increases, often unlocking new moves to be learned or increasing stats such as speed, defense and attack power. Bulma is the game's shop owner. From her place in Capsule Corp., she allows players to change characters or buy items. These items can assist in powering up characters for faster leveling or restore Ki energy. In the new Story Mode, the player can unlock new characters by playing through a series of episodes. Each episode has its own set of battles and objectives, from defeating enemies to side tasks. When all episodes in a story arc are completed, the player may face and unlock a "bonus character" for that story mode. Some of these characters include: Dr. Gero (Frieza Saga), King Yemma (Frieza Saga), South Kai (Kid Buu Saga-present), Mr. cfa1e77820
